Humans have historically devised various means to harness energy in its various forms for different uses. Much of history can be viewed through this lens. Today, the production, distribution, consumption and storage of energy has spawned an web of systems. At MODL we apply computational and modeling tools to analyze the behaviors in these systems, namely: fossil fuels, biofuels and electricity. Sustainability and climate change are critical. Thus, we seek intersections in policy among both traditional and alternative energy sources, with a view to reducing or eliminating environmental impacts and improving public outcomes.
